Thess Boar is a small family business. Our name states our two core values:
- Thess is short for Thessalonians. Tucked away in the book of 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 verse 11 the apostle Paul writes that the believers of the city of Thessaloniki should make it their ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind their own business and to work with their hands. As Jesus followers living in a modern world we find it especially important to keep the art of working with our hands alive and want to pass on these skills to the next generation.

Boar is not actually meant to be a play on words with board! It just so happened....our last name is Scottish and means "son of boar". In this modern world, family heritage, our lineage, where we have come from and where we are going as a family team is slowly becoming unknown, unimportant and irrelevant to many individuals. We believe the family functioning together as a team from one generation to the next, is part of God's beautiful design. Boar reminds us that this business is much more than fancy wood beautifully crafted for your kitchen. Boar means that we work together, growing our skills and using our individual gifts and abilities for a common purpose.
